Window Poem

A view from my actual window.

From My Bedroom Window

 

A lit up teal swimming pool,

A roof ledge beneath my sister's window,

The sky a bright pink and orange,

Sometimes a squirrel stares me down from the tree ahead,

Cicadas buzzing in my ear,

A light in the window of a house in the distance,

Trees swaying in the breeze.
