Future me!

  • discuss 2 interesting ideas from the presentation Monday

    1. I never had considered making a career out of what I like to do (draw), so it was interesting to learn about all the different things I could pursue with that.
    2. I did not know you could make a job out of playing video games. I enjoy video games, so it is interesting to learn that I can test them for money.

  • ask 1 question about something discussed

    1. what is the statistic on the amount of people that find jobs in their field of study after graduating from the art institute?

  • write about where you'd like to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years and 50 years (this might include careers or work, accomplishments, family and friends, homes, possessions, emotions, etc.)

    1. In one year I see myself as a freshman in college at Drury University, busy out of my mind and making tons of new friends. I can see myself living in a dorm, and absolutely loving the fact that I can be on my  own. Trevor will be there, majoring in English.
    2. In ten years I see myself happily married with maybe a baby on the way. I will have a successful job in human resources or accounting, and I will be reading, scrapbooking, and drawing in my free time.
    3. In 50 years I see myself with grandkids, and still happily married. I will be a family oriented person, and I will still be working in my area of study. I will be like my grandparents are now, and spend my time baking and watching 3D movies.
    Future Familia.

  1. I am so happy you and Trevor will be at Drury! Together! I loved my time there very much. Let me know if you decide to rush and would like a referral for Pi Beta Phi. Your grandma plans are cute--baking and watching 3D movies! :) I can't even imagine what entertainment options/technology will be the norm when you (or even I) make it to that age.

  2. I know, just thinking about how much technology has changed in the past ten years... I can't even imagine the next 50 years!

Trevor was not sure if he wanted to go to Drury or not, so I made the decision for him.
