Poem Pieces
[Three days after my birthday I wanted you; in November I opened my heart to you. I spend too much time thinking about you. I want to forget that I met you. Because you're gone and I blame myself.]
This poem was pieced together by a poem (The Blue Dress, by Sharon Old) that Mrs. Fraser broke into pieces for us so we could make our own poem with them. Obviously, I used a few words of my own, but I really enjoyed the activity. Makes you think about how all words are are just that--words. They can be something great, something weak, and even when you use the exact same words it all depends on how you use them. Basically, it is how you use them, not which ones you use.
